I had a visit from a rainstorm last night. There was lightning and thunder too. There were a few times when the rain was raining hard. It got quite noisy here. However, the results of it all were not that big of a deal. A little tiny bit of water came into my place. A very little. That was all that happened. It really seemed like it was just a remnant of the bigger storm. However, it made me think about sandbags. I ordered some empty sandbags today from Walmart.com.

Now I can relax and let it all go. If I need a few sandbags for flood control, I can fill them up with sand around here where I live. Since we are entering a high rainy season right now, I know it was the right thing to do. My place is not flood prone. However, there was a time when the water came in more than a little bit. If I have the bags, I can fill them up when I need to and that takes care of that. Simple and easy.

Doing things at the right time really helps.

I want to say something about my place. I have been very fortunate not to have any big problems with flooding. There is an interesting pathway that allows the water to go around my place. I really do not have a lot of concern about flooding these days. I have been here at my current location for almost 6 years so I know how to handle the rain. However, it was so much fun to see the rain and experience the return of water.

We may have a little bit of rain later today but then it is all gone (until the next time that is). Right now, I am enjoying the lower temps that we are getting. This feels so good. I am very happy right now.
