I had to make a change today in one of my projects. It just wasn’t working out for me. I had my doubts from the get go but I went ahead and tried to make it work. It didn’t. So, I “frogged” the started project and found another pattern which is very good.
The pattern that I changed is the one with the Mandala String Yarn. I switched the pattern to this one called the Lion Brand Diagonal Eyelets Shawl, created by Teresa Chorzepa:
I find that whenever I am doing something, if I can’t keep going on it, there is something wrong with it, not me. So, to keep things on a positive note, I crocheted the yarn into this new pattern which I have never made before. In fact, Mandala String Yarn is the recommended yarn for this pattern now. So, after a minor setback I am very good to go for my 3 crochet shawl projects this month. Fun!
I am now waiting to see when I get paid next. I am supposed to be getting paid on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. However, I am very happy that my credit union RCU always posts my check to my account a few days early. It has been 5 weeks since I was last paid. There is a holiday coming up on Monday so… maybe like last month, I will get paid early, like on Friday? I am hoping this happens again.
Hmmm, that tastes so good! I just sipped on my Great Value Peppermint tea. I always have some herbal tea around to flavor my water. Anyway, things are looking so much better than they did a few weeks ago. It is now the first week of October and everything is going very well.
On Brian’s podcast video, I made a comment about Trump. I said that he is dying, so he doesn’t really care about anything. Let him go off about the cities near me and how he dislikes them. I really think it is all rather funny these days. It was on this podcast:

I am sick and tired of him (Trump) being around these days too. However, I have got many more things going on than to be talking about Trump on YouTube. One of the things I really want is for the damn heat to go away. I have 3 more days of the over 100 degree stuff, then it is finally over. Gone for good. At least for a few months.
That is all I have to say for today. I am so happy that there is not going to be any more heat for a very long while. I mean after the next few days. There really is something about the weather and me. Coming up, I should be getting my mail-in ballot soon…
