I have always created things with my own hands. I guess this is called a hobby. However, I see it as something more than just a trivial hobby. Makers tend to create beautiful, useful things and I am one of those people. My crocheting projects are not just beautiful but highly functional too.
I wonder about the future a bit. I wonder if the Internet still exists in the future. I wonder if a lot of technology and AI stuff gets purged. It seems like that may happen. So, I am definitely doing all I can to create as many beautiful crochet projects for future use. Many of my favorite yarns are being discontinued these days. It is a sad reality. The new yarns are just not the same as the old, discontinued yarns. I see the new ideas and I am not that excited about it. I see the new crochet patterns too and those are not very good either.
However, I still pick and choose my yarns carefully and still find new projects to make. I still find my yarns on eBay and a few other places. I do not own a yarn stash. I do have a few packages of yarn designated for specific projects. I was never a yarn hoarder. I will never be like that. Yuk!
Today I had to focus on finishing a long term crochet project and I did finish it. It is called the Bed of Roses Filet Throw.

Here is one of my kitties, Tawny, in the picture. Isn’t he adorable? I consider this finished project to become a family heirloom. I safely store these little treasures away waiting for the future when all will be put to use. I love making things. This creative time I am having right now is wonderful and very fun.
Right now I am wearing one of my patriotic shawls created in Lion Brand Micro Spun Yarn in colorways Cherry, Royal Blue, and White. I noticed it still needs a border added. I still see that there are a few skeins of this yarn on eBay in Royal Blue. Good. I am happy that I can still find this discontinued yarn on eBay. All of a sudden I am hearing the loud intensity of military helicopters (at least 2) flying directly over my head. Is this a sign of some kind? Maybe.

I need to add a beautiful crocheted border to my Patriotic Shawl. I must have run out of yarn at the time I made this one. Borders are very important whether they are on my shawls, my blankets, or around my country. We really do have a distinct border with Mexico. We are not conjoined with that country. Borders are becoming very important right now.
I am having as much fun as I can without my family members living here close to me. I really want all of this to change quickly. I am healing and purging the negative spiritual setups that allowed Mexico to control our homeland. It is going our way now. It is changing the right way.
